MTN allows it subscribers to transfer airtime to another subscriber. This service is known as share n sell. To use this service is free.

To transfer airtime to another MTN subscriber, you must first change your default password (0000).

To change the default password, text; OLDPIN NEWPIN NEWPIN to 777.

Example, if you are changing your default pin to 1234, you will send; 0000 1234 1234

in a text message to 777.

MTN ALL DAY WOW

This is an offer provided by MTN to all her prepaid customers to enjoy 100% bonus airtime when they recharge between 00:30am on Monday till 11:59pm on Sunday using this code *885*12 digit recharge pin#. This offer is known as MTN ALL DAY WOW.

When a customer makes a recharge using this code, the value of the airtime loaded goes into the main account (all day wow main account), and the bonus goes into the bonus account (all day wow bonus account).

For customers to enjoy the wow bonus, they must have used up the airtime in their wow main account. The bonus airtime can be used for sending sms to MTN numbers, MTN – MTN calls, and surfing the internet at MTN pay as you go rate. The wow bonus  is valid till 11:59pm of the same day it was received.

MTN Collect SMS is a service where subscriber "A" can send a message without cost to subscriber "B" if subscriber "B" accepts to pay for the message. Subscriber "B" has the option to either decline or accept to pay for the message.

In the case where subscriber "B" declines to pay, subscriber "A" gets a receives a message saying B has declined paying.

MTN prepaid customers can now access airtime on credit when their account balance is too low.

What is MTN Xtratime

MTN XtraTime is a service that allows eligible customers access airtime on credit when their account balance is too low to have ordinarily continued with an on-going call. The airtime received on credit can be used for all chargeable activities on the MTN network.

This service will be very helpful for customers who might need airtime urgently, but are in areas where they can’t have access to airtime immediately.
